On Monday, January 15, 2007, a rally will be held at Root Park in San Leandro calling for US troops to be pulled out of Iraq. Featured speakers include San Leandro Mayor Tony Santos, San Leandro Vice Mayor Surlene Grant, Alameda County Supervisor Alice Lai-Bitker, and Byron Williams, pastor of the Resurrection Community Church in Oakland, CA.
The rally starts at 3pm. Root Park is located on E. 14th Street near the intersection with Hays Street. It is adjacent to San Leandro Creek and just south of City Hall.
