San Leandro Woman Dies After Being Left at Hospital

A 36-year-old San Leandro woman died on Saturday night August 26, 2006, after she was dropped off at Highland Hospital in Oakland. The woman had suffered traumatic injuries and police are treating it as a homicide. The woman's name has not been released.

Update 8/28/06: The woman has been identified as Leslie Lamb.

Update 10/5/06: Earl Stefanson was charged with murder for the torture and beating death of Leslie Lamb. According to an article in the San Francisco Chronicle, a torture room was found in his Oakland home and blood from Lamb and two other people was found in the room. Stefanson was arrested after leading police on a chase through Oakland and Hayward. He was also charged with being a felon in possession of a gun after police found a handgun at his home.
