The Koi Indian Nation has proposed a casino to be located in the Oakland Airport Business Park, adjacent to the airport at Pardee Drive and Swan Way. The preliminary proposal includes a 250,000-square foot Las Vegas-style facility with card games and 2,000 slot machines.

Since the casino is in Oakland, the proposal includes an annual payment of $10.7 million to City of Oakland. The proposal does not appear to address concerns in neighboring communitied.

The 30-member Koi tribe is based in Santa Rosa and regained federal recognition in 2000.
